Practice, Progress, and Success Teacher Training

Live Zoom Presentation: Monday December 29th 2025, 1 PM ET
Replay: available for 14 days (December 30th through January 13th)

How many students do we lose to the practice battle? What if you could transform this pain point into an opportunity for growth, for both you and your students?

This workshop empowers voice teachers to address student practice challenges by improving lesson pacing, developing executive function skills, using better cueing strategies, and redefining success for young singers.

Amazing workshop! So worth the time and money. I feel inspired, energized and suppported to help my students in their practice. ~ Lidwien V.

Even though I have a masters in music ed and have been teaching for decades, I got so much out of the webinar about practice, progress and success. Nikki used the latest research to support all aspects of the course. I walked away with so many new elements to integrate into my lessons. Thank you. ~ Mary Beth B.

Original price was: USD $99.00.Current price is: USD $69.30.

In our Practice, Progress, and Success teacher training, we’ll dive deep into the obstacles holding teachers, students, and families back with strategies to:

  • 🎶 Redefine success for young singers, focusing on personal growth, confidence, and joy in learning.
  • ⏱️ Improve lesson pacing so students leave lessons feeling motivated and clear on what to work on.
  • 🧠 Understand and build executive function skills (like focus, attention, memory, and self-direction) in your students to empower them as independent learners.
  • 🎤 Communicate and partner with families for a community effort.

Please read: This workshop isn’t about asking you to do more or carry the full responsibility for your students’ progress. And it’s definitely not about pushing families or demanding more practice time.

Instead, we’ll focus on how to:

  • Release the guilt around student practice and progress.

  • Build shared expectations with families that support your teaching values.

  • Make the practice that does happen feel fun, doable, and meaningful.

  • Improve student confidence and retention through connection, not pressure.

As with all FULL VOICE Live teacher training workshops, it is packed with inspiration, resources, and actionable teacher takeaways.

  • This is a very informative webinar. Nikki covers the how’s of getting students to adapt to practice and why some won’t – with the in depth and well researched reasons and solutions.

  • Amazing workshop! So worth the time and money. I feel inspired, energized and suppported to help my students in their practice.

  • When I first started teaching, I immediately fell into a trap where I felt that if my lessons weren’t super-informative, parents wouldn’t find value in them and would pull kids out. That resulted in info-dumping and essentially early disengagement from students, because I was overwhelming them relatively early on. Slowing down, looking for the clues from students on how fast I should go or how much information was important and essentially doing more small things made my students more engaged and I started seeing more progress.

  • The Practice, Progress, and Success: Supporting Beginning Singers in Learning workshop was very engaging and inspiring. The materials were clear and the presentation was easy to learn from. The workshop reminded me of key principles of learning that are so easily and commonly neglected in daily teaching and helped me delve further into the science and psychology of how to best support the learning, motivation, and enjoyment our singers! Thank you, Nikki!

  • Even though I have a masters in music ed and have been teaching for decades, I got so much out of the webinar about practice, progress and success. • Thanks for a really informative session – I have so many new ideas to try out in 1:1 work with my young choir members.

  • This is a great webinar with clear points and guidance for teachers.

  • I have taken several Full Voice workshops, and they are incredibly worthwhile and a great investment in my teaching. I always learn something new!

  • Attending The Full Voice / Nikki Loney’s fantastic seminar on “Practice, Progress & Success” was a really fun, supportive and illuminating opportunity to head into my teaching week with new inspiration. I really enjoyed the fabulous thoughts from Nikki and the community on teaching through observation, parental support at home, executive function development (we adults are still working on this, too!), using moment-marking language and finding meaningful ways to celebrate small victories. A wonderful session. Thank you for your generosity, Nikki!!
