About Mim Adams

Mim is a vocalist, educator, and music director with extensive experience in vocal jazz performance and pedagogy. With a background in formal jazz studies and as an active performer, she brings both academic insight and practical expertise to her teaching. She has led ensembles at York University and Mohawk College, specializing in jazz choir and vocal ensemble direction, and teaches private lessons in jazz voice and musicianship to singers of all levels. Her approach emphasizes accessible, stylistically informed training that helps singers develop confidence, creativity, and a strong musical identity within the jazz tradition.
